We’re proud to announce that ‘Hidden Workers’, a joint collaboration with our client Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and their strategic property partners, won the prestigious Partners in Wellbeing award at last night’s PFM Awards ceremony.
The PFM Awards advocate and reward exceptional partnerships between clients and their FM and property service providers. We have great relationships with our clients and always welcome opportunities to share our stories, so we were delighted to join forces and enter the awards as a collaborative submission with our client LGIM and over 25 of their strategic property partners, including Churchill Group and Regular Cleaning who were at the forefront of the initiative.
The Hidden Workers initiative supports security, maintenance, and cleaning staff who keep buildings and businesses running, but who are often employed by specialist third parties, that often don’t enjoy the same benefits as a building’s other employees.
The work of the initiative helps to close that gap by reducing health inequalities across the partners’ estate portfolio. Staff involved in the initiative get benefits like sick pay from day one, death in service, and virtual healthcare access, including GP appointments.
”The initiative was created to introduce a series of commitments to reduce health inequalities and improve the quality of life for the ‘hidden workforce’ across our real estate portfolio. Working in partnership with our valued suppliers, with Bellrock, Churchill Group, Regular Cleaning at the fore, we’ve managed to do this. Our work doesn’t stop here either. Our collaboration continues as we continue to promote wellbeing and improve access to healthcare within a compassionate and people focussed environment.
Mark Tyson, Head of Asset Services for LGIM
”We’re thrilled to have won this award for our Hidden Workers initiative. I’m so proud to be a part of the wider partnerships team, who all work so hard to make this initiative a success. Winning the award celebrates all their efforts. The project really does show the strength of our partnership and validates our approach to collaborative working to achieve the best outcomes for all employees.
Claire Poulton, Bellrock Group Senior Director, Commercial
”Many congratulations to the Bellrock team, LGIM and partners for winning the Partners in Wellbeing Award. The Hidden Workers initiative is positively impacting the lives of our teams. It is their passion and dedication that makes a daily difference to our clients and their customers, so it is great to see all the collaborator's efforts in championing this notion for the hidden workforce in our industry being celebrated. Being honoured with the second FM industry award in a matter of weeks for this programme of work really demonstrates the power of partnerships and collaborative working. Well done to the teams involved.
